Sicko: More Effective at a Theatre
Some movies were meant to be seen in a movie theatre; usually because of the explosions.
You might think Michael Moores Sicko, because of its lack of explosions, would not benefit from a theatre viewing.
It is after all documentary-ish. It is also propaganda, and the blunt stories of illness and suffering would probably cause most home viewers to hit the stop button on their DVD player. They would miss the punchlines at the end which are funny, the ones who suffer in the movie are vindicted and heroic in a funny way at the end and if you hadn't suffered trrough their stories at teh first it would be a lot less effective. In a public theatre there is a bigger incentive to stay put and see the film through.
