Premier R. Ghiz: Great Expectations
Our soon to be ex-premiere Binns had a somnambulatory locution that used to make me wonder what the question was every time he answered. His voice made my attention sleep. He was the hoarse whisperer and mumble jumble's lovechild. The man could go on forever and say nothing. Like I'm doing now.
Our new premier is younger, and that means more will be said. Holes will be dug.
If Binns was a putter, Ghiz is a batter.
I doubt Binns as opposition leader will change much in style. His attack is probably as dull as his defense. I'm betting though that we'll have much more entertainment in Ghiz, when badgered by the media or the other three opposition MLA's.
Which brings me to another issue - electoral reform. Ghiz is backing down on electoral reform. Too tepid a topic with his head all abuzz with schools, hospitals, and his new office. Has he thought about the next time around when the landslide takes that office away?
C'mon young fella get your head out of your arse and move on electoral reform.
God I'm glad I live in a free nation where I can speak freely.
I feel much better now.
