Stray Rooster? No, a Ring Necked Pheasant

It sounded like someone tried to start a lawn mower outside the open window yesterday. Whoomph, woomph, woomph. It was so warm out, like 9 degrees.
Just as I began wondering who the fuck is starting a lawnmower outside my window, I saw the cockiest bird strutting by. With all the snow melted away this guy was out for a walk, I thought it was a stray rooster.
After sending his picture, Didi identified him as a Ring Necked Pheasant. Good eatin' I bet, but I think they are not in season until Fall. I put some bird seed out, try to keep him around until hunting season opens!
