SlingBox: TV Anywhere.
For those people who want cable TV but are outside cableland, yet have high-speed internet, Slngbox is the fix.
The Slingbox has a TV tuner in it, so you can connect it directly to cable co-ax wire, it also has an S-video in, and video/audio RCA inputs. It was easy to hook up, we put a co-ax splitter before the cable modem and plugged into the Router. Set the router to make the slingbox the 'DMZ' address, and the lights all looked good. Then the slingbox finder service spit out a slingbox ID so we could locate the dynamic IP in Summerside. Moments later, I was watching cable in Tyne Valley on my TV, which is fed by my old Toshiba notebook (which uses wi-fi).
The quality is great, no hiccups and excellent sound. Easy peasy.
