The Scooter

Flying from Dallas to Raleigh today, the captain of our American Airlines Super-80 bantered a lot, and kept telling us this flight (AA1808) is known as 'The Scooter'. "Stop people at the mall, and tell them you rode the scooter!" As with most pilot humour it was kinda funny but not really that funny. At the end of the flight he joined the crew in the bye-bye line. I sat in the first row while every passenger exited, since I had to wait for a wheelchair and there was no point in getting off the plane first. So, I heard all the comments made to the captain of The Scooter: 'we enjoyed our ride on the scooter', 'the scooter was wonderful', 'thanks for your humourous banter'. The captains reply joke (used at least 3 times during the disembarking) was "thanks for your money" which people found funny.

It was kinda lame, but better than the usual talk about weather and altitude.

Happy Thanksgiving Scooter Captain!
