Motown Night Shifts
To go from Tyne Valley to Detroit took me 14 hours and through Charlottetown, Montreal, and Chicago airports. Rising at 4 am in Tyne Valley to make my 6:50 am flight in Charlottetown, finally getting to Detroit at 5 pm (6 pm PEI time). I think I could have drove it in 21 hours, and then saved on the rental car. My butt is tired from sitting in airplanes!
Now I work nights upgrading software on the Nortel equipment at Verizon Wireless, until Friday. Then back into the arse-busting journey home.
It is a big shift going from the quiet of a stroll to the pond in Tyne Valley, to the endless roar of cars pouring down interstate 696 just outside my hotel. Makes me appreciate Tyne Valley more for it's peacefulness.
