Dialup Shock: Part 4: My Aliant DSL is very broken

7 days of no high speed internet.


Aliant’s upgrade of my DSL modem may take until Nov 9th, for a total of 15 days outage.

That’s what Mike and Denis said on the 28th.
I call 800-565-4737 4,2,1 three times daily.
Shawna said someone was coming to my house Oct 31.
Lisa said Anthony Murphy would call me today, he hasn’t.
Grant said Nick Murphy would call me this morning, he didn’t
Nancy called me today, because Sunday I Officially Complained to Aliant using their website. She comforted me, but could do nothing to repair my broken DSL.
I’ve also spoken with Sonya who won’t tell me who exactly will call me back later.
Also, Peter, the gruff technician did call me Friday and said “Grunt, not the modem, can you look at the light” Still red. “Harumph, ya, ok. Click”

Aliant has a lot of employees.
I have broken DSL and no other option. (I wish Eastlink internet would get to Tyne Valley)
