Windows Vista: Pig on a Gig
This is a very early review, since I only booted up four times since firing up Vista on a new Dell Inspiron, which only has one gigabyte of RAM and to be fair is only running Vista Basic. It is slow to boot, slow to respond. It seems to take 10Gig for Vista to live on my pristine hard drive, but a second look reveals a second drive partition called D: which consumes 10 more Gigabytes.
I like the new icons.
Recommend getting at least 2 Gigabytes, because 1 sucks.
Now to map a network drive...
Super easy, click Start icon, click Network, click FileServer, login, right click my net drive, done.
So it is easier and slower than XP.
