My First Party Nomination in Person: Egmont PC's
I remember some political nominations on TV: when Keith Milligan won (it was on CBC live), and lately the big US presidential conventions - where Obama made a big debut speech.
Well, in I found myself in the middle of the PC nomination for Egmont at l'ecole Evangeline in Wellington. I was video taping as a favour for my dad who is into these things a lot more than me. I have actually done some little audio and video projects for the Green Party in the past too.
It was a lot of fun, I was most impressed with Wilfred's speech. In the end Gail Shea won the PC nomination, so good luck to her! I also know some liberals, and followed their nominations in the paper. In the end it is good to see people involved in the party process whatever the party!
Democracy in real life.
