Please Enter Your 10 Digit Phone Number

Calling Aliant for my internet the Voice Menu asks to type in my phone number, but then as usually happens with these Voice Menus, the first thing the operator asks for is my phone number AGAIN! Why take issue with the operator, they probably can not do anything about it, or is it taken twice as some kind of sanity check? Next time I putting in a fake number.

On the bright side I liked the human service, and figured out my details for dialing up the extra 5 hours of dial up time Aliant offers DSL subscribers. Also figured out how to track the dial up time used. Dial up is like the dory/lifeboat of the internet, or maybe it is the canoe of the internet. Paddling along at 49.2kbps.
