Impaired Driving Detector
Video cameras like the ones on the PEI Gov't website could be used to nab drunk drivers, especially at night when the car lights make tracking most accurate.
The camera placement would be best directly over the centre line of the road. An overpass mount would be simplest, but not too many overpasses in PEI, a few. From this point of view a graph of each vehicle could be taken to measure the lane control, or any minor swerving. Using something like MAX/MSP/Jitter to analyze the video live. A photo could identify any vehicles that match the drunk driving pattern, to be intercepted by police. If you don't drive straight, you get noticed.
I think the cost to develop this would be about $10,000 dollars and I think I ccould do a good job of it. So finance me and we'll do it.
