These are blogs that deal solely with one issue.
Now, if on the other hand anonymous political guttersniping is your bag - check out The Regional Patriot, or the bounty-on-your-head style of PEI Political Homepage. This shadowy site may be run by the same person who had $1000 bounty out for their identification!
Why Blogger.com attracts this type is probably due to the simplicity of the blog setup. Every 'squeaky wheel' blog seems to be using a Blogger account.
Is this healthy airing of personal beefs a grandiose soapbox or just passive aggressive sour grapes? Either way people are talking about it.
