This iPod Shuffle sucks
First I got a MuVo 128Mb player, $55 at Walmart, USB stick, no display or shuffle but could just be used as a memory stick to put files on.
Two hours playtime. AAA battery.
Then I got a MuVo 256Mb player, $80 at BestBuy, needs USD cord, nice display, FM radio works great, also records well from FM radio. But line in recording sounds bad. Gives me four hours of music. AAA battery. My favourite one.
Finally I got an iPod Shuffle, free from nephew who got it free from neighbour who got it from Jeep for doing a test drive, USB stick, no display but obviously shuffle play.
Can't be used as a memory stick, in fact needs crAppleWare iTunes to load. I don't think I could even share to a friends PC from it. Apple crippled functionality out of respect for copyright protection. 8 hours playtime. Internal battery recharges from USB port, seems to last 6 hours before dying, piece of crap also must be ordered from crAppleLand or somewhere. It is sweet to look at, but keeps pissing me off with crApple limitations. I hate Apple now. Overdesigned toys.
I pray for a German company to buy Apple and make that shit work right.

the iPod shuffle does work as a USB drive on any PC you plug it in to.
I just bought one this week and it works great. I don't know about the battery life yet but I have yet to charge it a second time after using it on and off for the past 4 days.
